Story

The protagonist, Mei Ayazuki (name can be changed),
finds herself transported from the modern
day to a strange version of Meiji-era Tokyo, where mononoke exist.

There, she meets historical figures such as Mori Ougai, Hishida Syunso,
Kawakami Otojiro, Izumi Kyoka, Fujita Goro, and Koizumi Yakumo.

As she interacts with them, she comes to realize that she is a tamayori,
a human with the power to see mononoke.

As days pass, she grows closer to one of the male leads and eventually falls in love.
After struggling with whether to return to the modern world or remain in the past,
she chooses to live in the Meiji era with the one she loves most.

As a tamayori, she is constantly plagued by mysterious incidents involving mononoke.

Setting

The setting is Meiji-era Japan.

However, this is a world where the existence of mononoke is widely believed. During the day,
everything seems normal, but from evening until dawn,
mononoke come out to play during what is known as "oboro no toki."

Not everyone can perceive mononoke.
Only tamayori can see them clearly,
while ordinary people can only faintly sense their presence, if at all.

On the other hand, some deny the existence of mononoke altogether,
particularly those who support the new government, modernization,
and the adoption of Western ideals.

The protagonist, gifted with the powers of a tamayori,
and the striking male leads encounter a variety of mononoke.
